Wednesday 13th May:
The club held a Farm walk at Boreland of Girthon, Gatehouse, attended by 25 people. The evening began with Brian McMorran giving us a demonstration of Electronic Sheep Tagging and the implications of the proposed legislation were discussed! David Austin then showed us around his farm, the main point of interest being the farms constructed wetland, which appeared to be doing a superb job of handling the farms effluent. David then took us on a Trailer ride over his land to the Carrick view point he has recently constructed, which offered tremendous views. The evening was rounded off superbly in the kitchen with sausage rolls and scones provided by Davids wife Dora.
